With the possibility of a TikTok ban, what advice do you have for influencers who heavily rely on this platform for their income and their reach?
Never put all your eggs in one basket - regardless of ban or no ban! Your accounts could get hacked, there could be a ban, or social media platforms could go away.
Lissette recommends the rule of 3:
Pick your 3 favorite platforms to be on
Platform 1: Where you connect the most with your audience (For Natalie, that's Instagram!)
Platform 2: Searchability. Make sure this platform is a platform people can search and find your content (YouTube and TikTok are good examples of social media platforms turned search engines)
Platform 3: What you enjoy! You don't have a set strategy - you just enjoy creating content here and posting for fun. If it turns into something bigger - great!

Future of Influencer Industry 🚀
What is your prediction for the influencer industry in the next 5 years?
Video and audio content are here to stay! People are used to consuming video for their attention spans and audio is great because consumers can multi-task while listening.
Authenticity. People are going to crave relatability and things that make creators unique - not the same.
New platforms will always come along - always secure your usernames and test it, in the beginning, to see if you like it.
Brand Deals 💰
How can creators find more lucrative brand deals?
Creators need to pitch to more brands - Lissette works with brands every day and constantly hears brands telling her she wishes more creators would pitch them!
Brand deals usually take 2-3 months to bring to life. For example, if you want to pitch for the holidays, you should start reaching out in September/October.
How to craft the perfect pitch:
Introduce yourself
Show content you have already naturally talked about the brand in or where the brand organically fits
Explain what an ideal partnership would look like (remember, it is a win-win)
Recap of your analytics and numbers
Ask to connect and meet!
