Write an Email that Receives a Response
Are you tired of emailing brands and getting no response? Clearly, that's no fun. So, we've decided to help you craft an email that is more likely to receive a response. We know that this email template works because our very own Co-founder Natalie uses this exact email template when emailing brands.
Natalie has been in the social media industry for over 10 years and has worked with various brands on Instagram and YouTube. She understands what brands are looking for when working with influencers. We have a blog about what brands are looking for when working with influencers if you're interested in learning more about that.
When writing an email to a brand, please keep in mind to always show email etiquette no matter what!
Email Etiquette ✉️
Keep the email short and sweet.
Include an introduction about who you are.
Mention wanting to work with the brand in collaboration + why you want to work with them specifically. If you have mentioned them in any previous content, include this.
Ask if they have any questions and that you are looking forward to hearing back.
Email Template 📄
Here is an example of Natalie's pitch email that she shared in our webinar, "Monetize Your Social Media" where they talked about how to start monetizing your social media, different streams of income, how to reach out to brands for sponsorships, and how to find the right contact and receive a response.
Your subject line should be clear while still capturing their attention. Don't be afraid of being direct and clearly stating "Brand Sponsorship/Collaboration....." if that is what you are looking for. You'll see that in the first few lines, it is suggested that you introduce yourself and tell them a little bit about yourself, content, and niche. Shortly after, feel free to include any relevant content even if it wasn't sponsored. This shows brands that you are genuinely interested in their brand. Bonus tip: mention why your audience is aligned with their audience.
In the email template where it says 'revenant links', make sure that you have actually linked your profile so that the brand can easily view your profile.
