Advice 💬

What is one piece of advice you have for a creator going to NYFW for the first time?
Create an updated media kit showcasing your demographic % of your followers who are based in NYC. Also make sure to have a customized email pitch to send to each brand! It is crucial to be specific to said brand and tell them how YOU can help them with content creation and social sharing.

NYC Influencer 🗽

What's it like being an influencer in NYC?
It is truly such a blast! I have met so many like-minded creators who have become friends. No day is the same, and there is just so much opportunity here. Each weekend has a different event where you can network with other creators, make brand connections and gain partnerships. Sometimes it can be a tad overwhelming, but the endless opportunity is definitely exciting!

Social Media Impact 📱

How has social media changed/impacted your career?
Social media has impacted my career in a way that I never thought it could (positive of course). I am able to post about products, clothing and brands that I love while making an income??? Like what! I love what I do, and my followers have resonated with that, which in turn creates engaging content. Knowing that I can help so many people just through one post is pretty surreal.

@sydneybernhardt this is your sign to stop taking your content so seriously. don’t get caught up in the numbers. it’s okay to get ghosted by a brand. some months you may not see positive growth. content creation is not linear. remember why you started in the first place + just have fun with it 🤍 if you’re feeling stuck.. let’s chat! i’m your biggest supporter 🫶🏼 #microinfluencertips #microinfluencertiktok #contentmotivation #motivation #mondaymotivation #businesstips ♬ Hell n back - ❆⸆⸉

Challenges ⚡️

What do you think is the most challenging thing about working in
social media?

The most challenging part about working in social media is always feeling like you need to post or be “on”. Mentally, there are moments where I just don’t feel like sharing what I am doing. Whether I am on a vacation, or laying in bed, I always feel the need to produce content. I have a hard time relaxing, and that is something I am definitely working on.

Growth 📈

If you had to contribute your growth to one thing, what would that be?
Plain and simple. People expect growth FAST, and that may be the case for some people. However, more than likely, that person has been posting for years. Staying consistent will create a steady increase of growth, and that growth will turn into a loyal following of people who value your content.

Day in the Life ☀️

What does a typical day of work look like for you?
A typical workday for me means getting up at 6:00am to get my workout in, make my morning coffee + smoothie of course, and then catch up on my emails. I like to stay organized from the top of my day, so setting myself up for success in the morning really allows me to do so. Throughout the day I am either replying to emails, creating content, working with my social media clients (I do 1 on 1 video coaching calls), while balancing my own social media!

Platforms 📸

Which platform do you prefer? Why?
Personally, I am such an IG girlie.. I know this is unpopular, but there is something about an aesthetic feed that I just love. IG Stories allow me to share so much of my life with my followers, and it is such an easy/fast way to connect. While I do not recommend Instagram for fast growth, I do think it is my bread and butter and Insta will always have a special place in my heart.
