Why are TikTokers Moving to YouTube?

Pros:

Engagement: Creators with loyal TikTok followings have already found their target audience. The expansion towards YouTube is easier because of the existing support. With YouTube being a long-form platform, starting a channel allows creators to give their audience more in-depth content. Diversification: With the rise of a potential TikTok ban, it’s smart for creators to be present on multiple platforms.

Monetization: Expanding to YouTube also offers financial opportunities. Creators can generate income through AdSense, affiliates, and brand partnerships.

Cons:

Consistency: While uploading to YouTube offers many benefits some TikTok creators hesitate to expand to another platform because of the time & effort it takes. Filming/editing a YouTube video often times takes significantly longer than filming/editing one TikTok. YouTube also favors channels that have regular upload schedules which differs from the relaxed nature of uploading content to TikTok.
