Monitor Content Statuses
What are Boards on Rella?
It's one thing to plan out a piece of content, but keeping track of a whole batch once it's in motion? That's where Rella shines. On Rella you can preview post details and monitor statuses in addition to viewing your content calendar. Rella’s board view gives you a comprehensive overview so deadlines are met, quality is maintained, and your Social Spaces can run smoothly!
The way you utilize each status is up to you. For example, your team can choose to use the “Idea” status to manage content that has a title but does not have media.
How to Manage Boards
Within the board view you can:
Create or duplicate content.
View the title, thumbnail, project, schedule date, platforms, assignees, caption, tags, and auto post status associated with each post..
View if a post has been shared publicly.
View the title, project, schedule date, assignees, and tags, associated with each task.
Scroll horizontally to view all statuses.
Drag/drop content between columns to update the content status.
Use “Sort by” to view content by last updated, date created, or scheduled date.
Customize or hide statuses to personalize your workflow.
Filter the board by base filters, platform, content type, status, and tags.
Bulk edit content by status or project.
Custom Statues
When you create a new Social Space you’ll have a default list of statuses (Ideas, In Progress, Pending, Approved, and Completed). To customize your status workflows, click "Statuses" in the top right of your Rella dashboard.
You can have separate status lists for content and tasks. This means you can customize how tasks move through your workflow independent of how your content is organized and vice versa. There are two sections within your Status settings:
Available Statuses are all the statuses that your Social Space has access to. These appear at the top of your status settings and include all possible statuses you can use across your Social Space.
Applied Statuses are the statuses that apply to a specific type, either Content or Tasks. This is where you customize your workflows. You can choose which of your available statuses apply to content and which apply to tasks, allowing for completely different workflows for each.
You can only add or remove statuses that are already available to your Space. To add a status to Content or Tasks, it must first exist in your Available Statuses.
Requirements and Rules
Status categories include Not Started, Active, Completed, and Closed.
Each entity type (Content and Tasks) must have at least one "Not Started" status and one "Closed" status.
You can hide inactive statuses. Hiding a status applies to the entire Space, meaning if you hide a status, the content within that status will be searchable but not shown on the Board, Table, Calendar, Previews or Feed views.
If you want a status to not appear for a specific entity type (Content or Tasks), simply remove it from that Applied Statuses list rather than hiding it entirely
Board View FAQs
Will content schedule automatically?
Statuses are for organizational purposes. Updating a status will not automatically schedule a post. You can:
Enable automations to receive notifications when content has moved to a specific status
Enable content approval workflows to indicate which statuses are eligible to auto post.
Once content has been auto published, the content will automatically move to the “Completed” status.
